Generally prices are in this range; off season which is October to May is about $250 for a half day and $400 for a full day. On-season it’s about $375 for a half day and $525 for a full day. Can I get to Crab Island without renting a boat?
No, you cannot access Crab Island without a watercraft vehicle, paddle board or kayak. Crab Island is a sandbar in the bay between Destin, Okaloosa Island, Fort Walton Beach and Niceville Florida. The waters surrounding Crab Island are quite deep and the tide can change rapidly creating dangerous conditions for swimming. Under no circumstances are you to be at Crab Island without a watercraft vessel. Situations can change rapidly such as storms, sea life or personal injuries and renting a boat is the only reliable way to safely enter and exit Crab Island.
Do you have to pay to go to Crab Island?
There is no park charge, cover charge or event charge of any kind to visit Crab Island. Of course you’ll be charged while renting a boat in Destin.
What is a pontoon boat?
A Pontoon is a type of boat with a flat surface. It contains at least two buoyant floats called “pontoons” to keep it above water. Pontoons are excellent boats for taking larger quantities of people because they contains many seats for passengers. Ideally, a Pontoon boat is the best way to enjoy Crab Island with a group of people!

How many people can ride on a Pontoon boat?
